New VA benefits for surviving spouses and dependents.

I would like to know if there are any benefits at all to a wife of 43 years, no children and took care of my husband until he passed away on 8/6/2021. I have lost my home in TN and I received a check $300 toward his burial which that didn't even cover the cost of transporting his body back to IL. I received $250 from S.S. and nothing as a monthly benefit because my check was larger. Iwas informed had he died in a VA Hospital I believe they said I would have gotten a certain amount. He had been on disability compensation since 7/7/2007. I as told since he served in the COLD WAR I WASN'T ENTITLED TO ANYTHING; HOWEVER, HE WAS COVERED UNDER THE VIETNAM ERA. WHERE DO I GET HELP? I have been disabled since 2/1/1996.
