We've discussed this question many times. Our fathers discussed it over Vietnam. Our grandfathers over WWII and Korea. Our great grandfathers over WWI. Their forebearers over the Mexican American and Spanish American Wars. Each unpopular until it wasn't. Now here's a surprising point of view from someone at the New York Times. Does it expand or alter your understanding of those events?
