I'm starting to think that I might be the only one who didn't go out to get myself a freebie for Veterans Day. I did go to the Starbucks at the mall to sit down and observe the people passing by, but I didn't even think about asking for a free cup of coffee. Am I the only one who feel uncomfortable with getting freebies for military service?

It's is hard for me to recive all the freebies associated with this day.

What is your opinion?

You are most definitely not alone. I do not go out to collect my freebies either. There are many who truly need these perks and many who don't and I hold absolutely nothing against anyone who does take advantage of the generous offers of participating businesses (and I do appreciate the businesses that do), it's just not something I, personally, choose to participate in.

No you are not the only one. While those freebies are given to all vets there are some that sacrificed much more than I and are much more deserving of anyone recognizing their service.

It doesn't bother me a bit.
