Now that you have served, are you likely to recommend your children serve? Same branch?

I didn't recommend that my son serve , but he wanted to serve in the U.S. Army and he did ! He spent all his time in Berlin , two and a half years ! This was back in 1989-90 .

I allowed my to make there own decisions and did not push them toward or against.
My son joined the national guard
