Afternoon Everyone,
Last time I posted a question here I was met with great advice from you wonderful people. I had another question I was hoping to get some help with. I am going on 9 years in with 3 degrees completed. I wanted to try and go OCS but am struggling to find good concrete guidance. I have been directed to multiple different places that have different information and am a bit lost. Being new to my unit I'm not exactly close with any officers to ask. Do any of you have have advice on where I can find up to date information regarding the packet and process? Thank you!

Your first stop for the most up-to-date official information is the OCS page* on HRC's website.
You'll find the latest MILPER message, OCS application packet information, Program POCs, OCS regulations, FAQ, etc.
The bad news is that you've missed the FY25 application deadline (closed 17 January 2025).
The good news is that you will have ample time to put together a top-notch packet, get to know the officers in your unit* and be prepared to submit your packet to whoever is consolidating them at your location when the next window opens (should be at the start of the next FY (1 September 2025) .

* HRC OCS page - https://www.hrc.army.mil/content/Officer%20Candidate%20School%20(OCS)
* ..get to know the officers in your unit - You won't even be considered for OCS if you're not recommended by the first two commanders in your chain of command (part of the DA Form 61) or the majority of a local OCS board (part of the structured interview requirement).

Best of luck to you Sergeant. I went to OCS in my ninth year as an enlisted. Your packet has an advantage over my packet. You have three degrees; I had half of one.
What I lacked for not having a degree, I made up for with letters of recommendation. Two general officers, one colonel, and my Bn Commander and company commander, which are kind of requirements. Yes, the generals and colonel and I knew each other. Often a sergeant, which I was, doesn't have access to senior officers. But, if there is one, got get a letter.
I'm certain that many things have changed since my selection in 2005, but I would recommend that if you have any "heavy hitters", get a letter from them.
Cheers,
