Okay, so here goes. I recently had a horrific experience at a VA hospital. I was encouraged to file a TORT. Anyone have experience ?

Get with a lawyer. Someone can provide their own experience; however, they would have definitely used the service of a legal representation.

It is near impossible to get an attorney to bring action against the VA. That is something that needs to be changed. If they can pay attorneys to represent hundreds of thousands of Illegals in their fake asylum claims, they can damn sure set up legal representation for Vets.

Tort is the wrongful act that happened to you. Normally, you file a malpractice suit to be compensated for a tort. In the case of the VA, you can Federal Tort Claim against the VA which is an administrative procedure, I believe is similar to arbitration or you can file a lawsuit. I would consult with a malpractice attorney to determine the correct course of action.
