On my WOCS, is it going to be an issue if my rank is velcro but my name tapes are sewn in?

I have a question regarding WOCS. On all my uniform tops, my name tapes are sewn in. I had to remove my rank and attach Velcro to it. I know this is against regulation but I understand we will be removing our current rank and wear WOCS as a new rank. Is it going to be an issue if my rank is Velcro but my name tapes are sewn in?

According to AR 670-1 ch. 4-8E the name tapes and rank must all be sewn on. They may not be different in styles in reference to Velcro and stitched. Those rule does not, in fact apply to the patrol cap. So, for example, according top regulation, you may wear a sewn on jacket, and a clip on patrol cap, and vice versa.

Your response--while technically correct--is incorrect for this situation. At WOCS your rank location has to be velcro (and the rest of your uniform can be sew on) as you switch WOC ranks as you change phases.

Candidates will be entering different phases and leadership changes throughout WOCS that require multiple rank and patch changes. Sewing rank there is not advisable.
