On the FY18 SFC BOARD, do you think your CMF will pick up a lot, a little, or about the same as last year?

Milper message for 2018 SFC board. Just came out, with everything going on with the military. What do you think will be the outcome... a good amount of people getting their promotable status? I am personally a 91b and for 91 I think it’ll be a 33 percent pick up rate out of around 1200 Ssg I think it will be solid. Thoughts?

Either way we’re going to have to wait even longer after finding out we all made it, to get pinned. But just having the satisfaction of knowing is good enough for me. Good luck to y’all.

Well if you look at the average of the last 2 years, its been pretty high. As far as what the 91 series looks like, I think it will be about 40%. I am glad they have finally posted the MILPER Message and hoping to seeing my name on that list, watch to many people that don't deserve it get it. Waiting for so long and with just hitting 17 years in, its about time for me to move to the side and allow all the new and upcoming ones attempt to hit it. We shall see. I agree, I hope it’s a pretty good list. With the amount of eligibles I feel it’s gonna be a monster of a list for us. Honestly, I wish they’d just promote the NCOS who deserve it. Not drop down to pick up X Amount of troops. It will be good never the less. Good luck SSG! I hope to see your name on the list.

Same. They’re projecting promotion requirements all the way out to the September 2020 promotion month. I think it will be lengthy.

Your PDNCO at HRC knows exactly how many open slots were projected because he or she helped determine that number. Pick up the phone and ask.

SGM, So I called my pdnco, either they lied to me or they really don’t know. Anyways, they told me they don’t have a number to provide me.

I never call anyone a liar but I was a PDNCO and I know what they know. So let me just say this, they have the means to know the answer to your question using EDAS (the program used to do 90% of their job). It shows current strength and projected authorizations. So either he/she is incompetent, or they have been ordered not to disclose the numbers.

Well, this year is going to be a big deciding factor for a lot SSG's looking at SFC. Do I think I will get picked up I have no idea it's all about how you look on paper, but I am a 15W so it's looking pretty solid for this side of the house so far. Just waiting patently for this list to populate on the 19th.

We'll see in the 92Y side of the house. I hope that we have a solid year since the Army is increasing in size and what not. Hopefully, that means more slots for Senior ranks. Either way, good luck to you brother.

Yeah, I think logisitians across the board will have a solid amount this year. I might need you down the road I just scooped a 92y in the instructor house. I have provided him some things I helped my supply sgts but he is the only 92y in my department.
