Anyone Else A Bit Miffed That The Politicians See Fit To Keep Bailing Out Companies And Countries Yet They Turn Around And Cancel National Guard Drill? Not Like A Lot Of Count On That Drill Check Our Anything. ... Smh...

Like many Guard and Reserve around the country I got a perplexing email from my training officer yesterday... basically stating that we are out of money so there will be no drill this month. I know I can't be the only one in the position of living pay check to pay check and budgeting my drill check into my finances. .. I don't get much bit it is alot when the eagle doesn't drop an egg once a month and I have to scramble to do some creative accounting to make my car payment. Yet the next day I hear the US Government just spent $40,000,000 to buy a crap ton of canned salmon to help depressed fishermen in Alaska. Yet we continue to throw money at the taliban and others we continue to bail out AIG, GM, and others. .. congress continues to give themselves pay raises yet they can't afford to pay my pittance of a drill check? I'm not in the Army to get rich... duh but if I am held to my obligation to serve and protect and be ready when I am called then why can I not expect to be able to rely on my monthly pittance? Yep I'm ranting a bit but I'm sorry something stinks here...
