1. Knowing that I didn't accomplish everything I set out to get done today.

I can relate to these answers, 100%. We are our own greatest critic. Much of what haunts me, are my own personal failures or shortcomings. But that does not mean that we cannot learn from these, and better ourselves for a more positive impact.

COL Mikel Burroughs Sir, a completely solid question. I am concerned whether I am doing a good job at work, am able to sustain my family, and am making advancements in my career field.

II like these and they are excellent questions to ask after you have exhausted the direct approach. What is my vision for the group or team. What specific accomplishments can I or my team achieve in the day, week, etc. Have I provided all the guidance, training, tools needed to execute.
