I get it, try doing unit PT for a week or so so you can show them your ability, then talk to yourchain of command about it, they might not like it but at the end of the day its your carreer, the worst thing you could do is go to SFAS not prepared, just telling you what i would do. If your leadership knows your only trying to advance your career and get in the fight i dont see why it would be an issue. Communication is key

Any good commander should authorize a personal PT plan in preparation for SFAS. It may be a hard sell as a new arrival. I would advise making the PT to bring to the commander to show him you mean business.

I would get memorandum saying my duty place for PT will be with the SF and technically they can't tell me no according to the recruiter because it's not a unit funded thing like ranger school and all the other schools I just don't want to be looked down on by other soldiers and leadership I would like to continue being a team leader when I get to my new unit

SPC (Join to see) - You certainly run that chance I had a BN Commander that came from Ranger Bat that didnt like soldiers trying out for SF so any NCOs that went and didnt make selection he stuck in a shop when they came back. Good leaders shouldnt punish you for attempting to go the next step. Dont worry about the what ifs and push something you want to do to the right. If you want it go get and do everything in your power to set yourself up for succes.
