Pentagon exploited Missionaries to smuggle spy equipment into North Korea. Was this the worst idea in the history of Military Intelligence?

SPC Elijah J. Henry, MBA I don't think this is the worst example in the history of Military Intelligence. However, using Missionaries to smuggle spy equipment into North Korea certainly ranks near the bottom of bad ideas [I almost used top; but, a top bad idea seems like an oxymoron :-)]

This is a common practice. The US government continually puts US civilians in harm's way, sometimes as far as hiding military equipment on commercial airliners.

Don't see the problem. Lots worse is being done on a regular basis by our intel arms.
