There are a few subjects I tend to shy away from, especially in a non face to face setting, but I've been thinking pretty heavily on this the last few days. I don't know how many of you are familiar with Boone Cutler, but right now, he is working on a push to establish the Warfighter Party on a federal and state level.
Do you think it's a good idea? Do you think it will be a success? Do you think it will be beneficial? Do you think it is too exclusionary and will alienate the population that has not served? Is it what we've been needing? I'm interested on your thoughts.
It has a webpage under construction and a FB page. Personally, I think it is too early to tell, as I'm not quite sure what the mission statement really is. I'm also a little concerned that with the various ideologies, it will just be another group squabbling among itself. I hope it is a positive force, though.

Am I correct in understanding that only current or past members of the Armed Forces will be able to gain party membership into the Warfighter party? If so, then it is way too exclusionary. According to the 2010 census, only 7% of the US population are veterans. 0.75% are currently serving.
