Posts that promote racial divisiveness do not belong on RP and need to be controlled!

Discussions such as this do not belong on RallyPoint. If this is what RP is going to become then I might as well stick with Facebook. This is supposed to be a family...our military family and having individuals challenge the racial views of members of this family is nothing but detrimental! Like any family, we will have differences of opinion but this post is inflammatory and these things shouldn't be allowed on this site.

I want to add some clarification as to why I am worried about this type of post. We have teamed with LTC Yinon Weiss and the rest of his outstanding RP team in an effort to use RP as a means of disseminating strategic level information to our Civil Engineer Career Field members. We have hit a roadblock in participation because my airmen simply don't want to get involved with another "Facebook" type experience (we had one go south on us previously). I sell RP as a professional environment where valuable information on topics such as training, transition, etc. can be found without worrying about political rants, silly videos, and other things that bog down the flow of valued info. I know I am not alone in loving this RP platform and it has HUGE potential to support the flow of information as we downsize the HQ level forces, but posts like the one I referenced in the OP squash much of that potential and it bothers me.

SMSgt (Join to see) very much appreciate your post on this, and also the fact that you use RP for the CEC community. I've considered getting my community a little more represented here, but haven't pulled the trigger yet.
I also very much appreciate how involved LTC Yinon Weiss is and how aware of given issues the team as a whole is.
Both things I love about RP.

I would encourage RP to tolerate some nonsense, discipline those who get to far out of line but tote the line permitting freedom of thought and discourse. Respectfully this is not your unit webpage from which you can disseminate politically sanitized command sanctioned talking points. Nor is this a military DoD Billitting board about holding hands and singing Kum by ya. What I have respected and cherished about RO is the honest raw discourse. MAJ Weis please do not sanitize RO but let it continue to be what has fed the fore and made it great... The fact that it ia the one honest military only honest military website. Otherwise I can go to linked in, Facebook unit webpages and a million other sites.
Our founding fathers founded this country on heated debate. Look it up if you doubt what I say. Encourage debate. Not matter how ridiculous. Because your ridiculous topic may teach others something or drive your own leaning as my stupid post may do the same.
Freedom isn't free
Change is painful
And we all need to challenge or prospective and hear and tolerate opposing voices.
That is the way of our founding fathers. That is true tolerance and freedom.

I think this post was in response to other posts that do the same thing except make an assumption in the question that President Obama is a criminal or Muslim or not an American. There are a lot of those.

I can't help but notice that the offending question has been edited at least twice since it was posted this morning. No doubt the onslaught of down votes and a message from an admin had something to do with that.
For my part, I try to answer obvious attempts to stir angst and vitriol as professionally and calmly as possible, and watch them founder trying to get a negative response.
