I must agree with this. When I had an FFL, there were a number of applications denied. To my knowledge, not one of those individuals were ever investigated, much less charged. Not once did anyone from the FBI or ATF ever come to my shop to ask about them.
However, I would like to see the expansion of mental health checking, and "strawman" purchases.

The only thing I have a problem with is the size of the magazine on all magazine fed weapons, I have never shot more than one shot when hunting. I can't imagine a reason for a magazine with more than 3 rounds would be needed. You can't shoot rapid fire at any range, and all game skaters after the first shot. So, a 20 or 30 round magazine is just for military purposes. This is my opinion and I would support a law that would reduce the size of magazine to 5 or less.

The vehicle argument is an excellent point. To drive a car you must pass a written test and a practical driving test. You cannot drive a car in public if it does not have safety glass in the front, head lights, signal lights and must pass an inspection of some kind like smog and safety. And you must have insurance as well. The speed limit is enforced by police who will pull you over and fine you should you exceed the limit. How would limiting magazine size impede on legal use of fire arms. When you hunt there is rarely a chance for a second shot, when you go to the range you shoot and check your dope each time or at least that is what I do. 30 round magazine is hardly a must have for self defense. So no, I would not outlaw vehicles.

Too many people disregard the laws that most of us follow because it's the right thing to do.

The problem is criminals are always going to defy or ignore all the laws you can put on the books.

Then it's up to the State to catch them. Law abiding citizens' rights should never be infringed just because the so-called criminals won't play by the rules.
