Currently an 88M up for re-enlistment soon. The most appealing MOSs to me are 12B, 13B/F, 14G, 25B, 31K, 38B, & 89D (As far as clearance and ASVAB I'm qualified for these also). I know it's needs of the Army but in an ideal world these would be what I'd narrow my choices down to. I love technology but I honestly don't know if I could sit in an office all day. If you have experience in any of these or in a MOS you'd feel would make a soldier happy please feel free to respond. Thanks for your time!

Honestly as far as reclassing goes finding an MOS that you might like is important make sure that you find and talk to a variety of people in the MOS you are interest in to find all about the good, the bad and the ugly. I will always put in a plug for my own MOS of 12P.

The Engineer Corps is so attractive to me. I wish my line scores were good enough to qualify for 12P. Speaking with one of my team leaders here down range he has recommended I try for EOD and hopefully have an engineer MOS as a fallback if it doesn't work out for me. Would you mind providing with pros/cons on your MOS?

I would be glad too, biggest Con is that promotion is irradic sometimes it is easy to make E-6 or E-7 others times it is impossible it just takes patience. Biggest PRO is the TDY we can be constantly on the go and a lot of it is TDY all over the country and even foreign countries to electrical work from disaster relief to electrical testing on bases world wide. Email me with further questions and I can help you through the process and point you in the direction to help get your line scores up if needed.

Your first stop needs to be a visit to your servicing Career Counselor; He or she will be able to determine your eligibility for reclass and the MOSs that are available to you, without that vital information, it's just dreaming. Good Luck to you!!

I originally enlisted as a 89D and that is one tough course my suggest if that is an option you want to do is contact your local EOD unit and express your interests into the MOS many MOS-T I met while at the school house had done this and the EOD units gave them some help on training and a good insight as to is this really what you want to do and what you can do to help prepare for it.
With that said that can go for any MOS like your 31K (im currently looking into that myself) go down to post MP stanchion and ask around granted some MOS’s are easier to find and talk to then some
