I am a E-6 with 9 years and some change in service, my re-enlistment window is opening soon will I be considered a careerist and NOT have any re-enlistment options? Or will I be able to have options since I will be short of 10 years in service?

It all comes down to what your current ETS date is.

If you have 1 day less than 10 years of AFS at your current ETS, then you're still a mid-career Soldier (DA PAM 601-280*, Table 2-3, note 1).

I found out after I hit indef and reenlisted (or whatever indef is called now) that you can still get a bonus possibly. You can't get duty station of choice though. By that point, you go where the Army tells you to go.

I reenlisted at 10 years for indef and was a SFC and I didn't get anything - and 35F. But I never asked about bonuses I assumed that wasn't an option at all but found out later it can be.

Have you talked to your retention NCO or career counselor at all? They would have the most accurate info for you.

I don’t know, but I have seen enlisted with 19 years be denied a one year extension, and a 4 year reenlist denied. Was a E-8/9 went awol the next day

Why would someone at 19 years need a one year extension? Extension for what? And at 19 years how are they reenlisting? This doesn't make sense. And were they an E8 or an E9? They went AWOL at 19 years at that rank? This sounds weird.
