I sent a declination of airborne assignment to S1, S1 said they sent that to our local mpd. I emailed branch they said they haven't received anything. I called HRC they said they haven't received anything. From the very beginning, I've put that I don't want to do airborne. I put it in my ASK. and I put it in the levy brief forms. Still nothing, can anyone help me out?

HRC can waive the airborne requirement if they want to put you on Bragg, or in an Airborne unit.

SGT (Join to see) exactly right. You'll definitely want to keep a copy of that declination statement in case your orders don't say that your requirement to jump is waived, in the special instructions.

Ft. Bragg was the best years of my career. I highly recommend it. As a spec ops guy, if you could dream it up, you could execute it at Bragg. Truly, it was disneyland for warriors!
Try and keep an open mind about it and embrace the Airborne way.

Did you know and or accept AB when you were headed into or while at the EOD course?

I was previously airborne before going to school, but I never signed anything saying that I was willing to do another airborne assignment

There are a few paths, did you have an AB assignment post EOD? Did you complete a three year AB tour?you had a commitment I believe of 3 years once you completed AB training. All of this is pretty simple, you need to speak with assignments branch. Your retention NCO and S/G1 have access to the answer, your branch and the solution. ~1146888:SGT Armani Tuile'epa]

I did 5 years at my last assignment as airborne, I've asked S1 and branch, and basically at this point they're just telling me to hurry up and wait.

If you spoke directly to Branch and S1 request an office call with the CSM. SGT (Join to see)
