I am an 11b trying to reclass to 31k how does that work?

It probably will not. There simply are not ever slots for 31K.

You said you're a medical reclass. You'll pick a few jobs you're qualified to do. HRC will give you an MOS, it might not be one you picked. You'll go to school TDY enroute within 45-60 days usually. Be ready to PCS immediately.

Prolly have more chance joining a Scout Platoon. I remember, back in the day, a lot of the dog handlers were 11Bs. Army seemed to prefer those with a CIB to be scout dog handlers.
