Reclassing to 35F. Do they do the ACFT or APFT in AIT? And is there any change to morning PT due to the pandemic?

They should be doing the ACFT, but from the fresh grads, they haven't been doing any PT

I believe Tradoc units have already or are going to be transitioning over to the ACFT. Both are easy to complete but I believe the ACFT is a lot easier to do. You should be fine if you exercise normally. As far as the pandemic is concerned, I’m not too entirely sure. If would expect deviation from normal routines given the circumstances. Someone else will probably comment as well with more accurate information I’m sure.

PT at the school house has shifted to squad level (so about 30 student classes with their AIT Instructor and occasionally a DS).
PT is at 0500-0600 every day with few exceptions (PT at 0600 or even 0830 for those on hold status waiting to graduate). As a MOS-T you would be asked to assist with PT since you're getting a 1059 and running PRT occasionally will be factored into your leadership evaluation.
The intent is that PT shifts entirely from APFT to ACFT prep. We're currently not doing APFT and ACFTs due to COVID and the graduation requirement was waived (temporarily).
Bottom Line: PT every day at 0500, Monday through Friday.
