Well it sure came as a shocker for all of us. I for one grew up with him and considered him as one of the funniest.
I may not fully understand all the intricacies behind his death and I'm not concluding suicide until a thorough investigation is conducted.
However I do say this: if he did make that choice, it's irreversible. Damage cannot be undone and he cannot be brought back without sheer divine intervention now.
As for the rest of us, stress is a part of life. Some deal with more stress than others, but, nothing, that is absolutely NOTHING is worthy of permanently fixing yourself for a temporary problem.
Another example: think of your life as a car. If the radiator breaks, you don't junk it, you replace radiator. If a wheel pops, you replace it, not junk your car. No difference in life. You drive this road of life until you fall apart completely, as an old, gray man or woman with miles and miles on your engine.
Though I never felt suicidal, I felt like a total failure, I'd go home with total loss of self esteem before, I'd lie in bed thinking I cannot go on with the military like this. I did.
But I also heard that voice deep inside me: it's really not as bad as you see it. Scores of people deal internally with exactly what you're dealing with and are afraid to voice it for the fear of some cheap labeling.
But I had the time when I did open my mouth to the stressors that were causing me grief back in early 2012. I was sent to stress counseling and got the help that I needed, and forever grateful to the Navy for allowing me to seek assistance with stress management.
I also realized that God (or whatever higher power) granted me a set number of days, which I must honor every day. And I do. Till I see Him again on His terms, not mine.
To the rest of you, I urge to give honor and praise for every day that you're here. You'll have time in your next life to discuss your life details. Live it now, today, make memories, find someone to share them with, and never forget: THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS PERMANENT PROBLEM! DO NOT SEEK PERMANENT SOLUTIONS!
Robin Williams made his choice (if he did). It's irreversible. If you're still reading this, please make reversible choices. That's all of them, except one.
Wishing you a happy and prosperous life from the bottom of my heart.

Why? Why do this Robin? Don't you know how much we loved you? You did so much to help our morale with your frequent trips to the desert. Don't you know how much pain you cause us by your action? I will speak of you no more. You will not get my tears.
