I am an E-5 in the National Guard. My MOS is 19D. I recently (08JAN15) white listed (moved into a slot that has not been able to be EPS filled for years) into an 11C E-6 slot. Allowing me a promotion once MOSQ. After completing WLC last year I was told I would be auto enrolled in Common Core in November 2014. I inquire about SSD2 in April of this year after being told all E-5s state wide were enrolled. I go into ALMS and I am not enrolled. I talk to my CoC and they are pressing the issue of my enrollment. I find out weeks later that I cannot be enrolled because I am not DMOSQ as an 11C. I boarded for E-6 on the 19D promotion list in June 2015. My MOSQ school got moved from Dec 2015 to July 2016. I'm now sitting in a slot where i have been successfully doing the job even acting as the PSG. The EPS list comes out 1SEP15 and I will be on 19D promotion list but not promotable due to not being able to do SSD2. I have given my unit months to find a solution but they are stalled out at state. My PSG is telling me that I need to file an IG complaint but want to try to solve this at its lowest level. End result, I just want to do my required education so I can be promoted and don't understand because SSD2 is not MOS specific. Thanks

Scroll down and identify the appropriate contact person for your component. I believe Mr. Vail was the ARNG contact. If you explain your issue, he should be able to reach out to your state's education staff and request that they enroll you into the next level of SSD. I had to use this option myself. It doesn't follow the chain of command, but it will work.

I wouldn't go straight to IG, I contacted branch to get into CC (you are correct, SSD2 is now on ALMS), they may be able to help you there. If that doesn't work, go through your battalion schools (actually go to schools first, then call branch). A commander, PSG and so on will only be able to do so much. You need to contact the right people to help yourself. Good luck!!

When I last did Common Core for ALC (DL), it wasnt on ALMS. It was actually through Blackboard. Have you scoured your AKO enterprise email to see if you had been notified of enrollment? But, I do agree with CSM Heidke.

With the change from common core to SSD2 the move was made from blackboard to ALMS. I also completed common core.

SFC (Join to see) - Ah. Since I had done the ALC CC, I wasnt required to complete SSD2 (thankfully). So now I know....and knowing is half the battle.
