YES!!! A PREVENTIVE MEDICINE ISSUE!! Here is what you need to do. You LITERALLY need to clean your residence inside and out. And I mean LITERALLY INSIDE AND OUT. We are talking everything from furniture upholstery to the electric sockets and phone jacks. Here is the issue. ALL OF YOUR ITEMS are contaminated with bed bugs. Especially if you spent more than 24 hours in the residence before you realized the place was contaminated with bed bugs. EVERY SINGLE piece of fabric...from your curtains to your bed linen needs to be washed in VERY HIGH TEMP wash. Bag up everything and treat with pesticide then WASH that stuff. You can contact your local pest control company for treatment plans. I would highly recommend you contact your unit and explain the issue because....and I don't care what anyone says....bed bugs can be easily spread

You have little chance of infesting another person unless you carry bed bugs in your clothes or gear, and then you lay that out on someone else's bunk or someone else uses your gear.
Wash everything you will take from your house to drill, and put it in the dryer on high heat for at least 30 minutes, then take it out of the house and put it in your car, and you should be fine.

with all due respect if the infestation was found after moving in and the car was used then the car would also be a carrier, no amount of washing clothes and equipment will work if the bugs are in the car also

Should I go to drill if I believe I have bed bugs?

Your first step should be to reach out to your squad leader or platoon Sgt. Explain the situation and allow them to give you direction and guidance. It should be as simple as that. Good luck with your bugs.

You really need to get a handle on it without impacting your employer or unit. I would offer your COC that you will make up the drill after you get this contained. Go get a professional right off the bat. Cleaning and eliminating clutter will help the pest controllers do a better job.

Suspecting bed bugs can be stressful, especially when it affects daily routines like attending drills or training. It’s important to confirm the issue early and take quick action to prevent spreading. For professional help and guidance, visit: https://titanpestandwildlife.com/

I would also recommend going to see your provider just to find out if you actually have bed bugs on you that can be transferred to others. Good luck to you...
