Should I transfer my NCI credits to another school ( i.e. Embry Riddle) and further my degree from there?

I, as many of my peers have done, used NCI to attain college credits for promotion. I have been told that NCI is not looked favorably on by the E-7 board when it comes to civilian education. Thoughts? truths, lies, myths?

NCI isn't real credits. Or at least, it's not any credit toward an accredited degree program. The board isn't fooled into thinking your "credits" are actual civilian education. Your transcripts are on your OMPF, your ERB has your degree program, and your NCOER usually has remarks about the amount of college you've taken during your rating period. You would be hard pressed to find an accredited college that would accept your NCI as transfer credit toward any degree program.

SFC(P) (Join to see) however, there are plenty of colleges who will take a large number of your JSST transcript recommendations and grant you credits. Coastline Community College will grant up to 40 and Thomas Edison will grant up to 60. Once they're part of a degree program they're valid.
