Hello, been squaring for about a year and got my max to 235. I use running shoes and want to upgrade. I use a high bar squat and love full range of motion. I’m 170lbs 6’2. Also in ROTC
I heard running shoes are bad to squat in so going to upgrade to chuck Taylor’s or squat shoes. I use a shoulder with stance( pretty close).

CT are terrible except for displaying a style. If I were into that fashion, I'd at least invest in a good pair of athletic insole to bring them into the 21st century. Otherwise, they're primitive footwear.

Nothing wrong with just goin barefoot too. But yea, I have a friend whi has those too.

You know your the second person that ask about squat techniques, apparel, I have a squat it in years but when I did I wore squat suit and never did I wear running shoes I wore regular squatted shoes but I was up at the 4 to 500, range which really doesn’t make a difference but you need to protect your back. I hope this helps .
