Our local high school is hosting a disabled veteran who got bronze stars and Purple Heart to speak on his military journey. The school is inviting students, veterans, and the public to attend.
Should I wear my uniform?

CH (1LT) (Join to see), Sgt (Join to see) laid out the right answer.

However, from a social etiquette point of view, I would check with the event organizer to see if they have any issue (they shouldn't).

Thank you all for your inputs.
I did wear my AGSU today. I stayed in the back of the auditorium during his speech.
At the meet and greet, I got to meet him and shook his hand. He was welcoming and started to share how his chaplain ministered to him when he was dying in the field before being transported to the hospital.
