Apparently it was ok to pardon drug dealers and users but not a young Lt. who made a quick decision to take these three individuals out when they approached his road block and didn't stop?

You would think since people with two done worse are getting out soon. Maybe PFC Manning will come out of jail and like many before her with substance abuse problems she won't live for long as soon as she goes on a fentanyl overdose. Good riddance

Please do tell me that his commander was a stand up guy and did not throw this guy under the bus. I say pardon this soldier by Friday. And put Manning on the street by Friday also. He needs to be getting ready for the Super Bowl. He is the brother of Eli and Payton right?;)

Yes, I was not only present for the entire incident but I was one of the nine soldiers from the ground who testified. You can find my statements in the Army Times and New York Times, which includes my photograph.

The article I recommend the most is the one posted to the Stars and Stripes, it was originally written and published by the Fayetteville Observer and the reporter sat through the entire court martial. He documented it much better than anyone lately seems capable of doing.

No. At least not yet. The defense may have a good case for appeal and re-trial if there is in fact evidence that was withheld by the prosecution in the original trial.

Evidence was not withheld by the prosecution. This is a criminal defense attorney using obfuscation and lies to promote his agenda, which would be to release a convicted murderer. If you want to know what's really ironic, the defense is claiming that evidence was withheld and they have been linked through biometrics after the fact, but the truth of the matter is that Clint Lorance had the biometric systems capability in the field and refused to allow our intelligence asset identify the men, and also tried to cover up the fact the men were carrying proper identification by ordering those of us there to "forget [we] saw" the ID. He was actually convicted of obstruction of justice for doing exactly what his lawyer is now accusing the prosecution of doing. So please stop trying to Monday morning quarterback a situation without being involved or knowing all the facts.

SPC Todd Fitzgerald - The topic was posted as a question, in other words, seeking opinions from members of this site. I can only form an opinion, or, answer the question, based on the information that has been reported. I don't have any other information that would dispute what has been reported. My only opinion is that all due process for appeals should be afforded before considering a pardon. There may be further evidence to exonerate, or confirm, the conviction. I have no other opinions on the matter than that. It is ok not to agree with my opinion, but if its being asked for, and if I feel like giving it, I will. whether or not everyone is going to agree with it.

The previous POTUS and elements in his party don't care about straight white males defending our country.

I have not read much about the case, but if he really did what he's convicted of and what SPC Fitzgerald says he did... that wasn't defending our country

Maj (Join to see) - I haven't read much either on this situation. I was making a broad statement on certain liberal politicians that don't care and, some (not all) prefer to blame certain groups (i.e. straight white men) to fit in their political agendas. If LT Lorance did commit a crime then he should be punished accordingly. I'm more upset on PFC Manning committing espionage or sabotaging getting a pardon for being transgender.
