Should Officers be Enlisted first?

Should the military make it a requirement to have to serve as an enlisted member before being given the chance to become an Officer? It's already pretty much a requirement to become a warrant officer; become proficient in your MOS, get educated, and apply. It brings me to ask though, does 4 years of West Point or ROTC or just 14 weeks of OCS really cover the experience and knowledge one would acquire paying your dues as a Joe?

should officers have to serve as enlisted first?

what are your thoughts about brand new officers? Would they make better leaders if they enlisted first and had to make the rank of SSG or SFC before they get commissioned?
