This morning I received an email from Rally Point, that I would assume is endorsing a particular candidate for President. Also, it was asking for a donation?
Hi Mark,
Seth Moulton is a Marine, Iraq War veteran, and congressman from Massachusetts. He recently announced that he's running for president because he believes this country needs a leader who can bring our nation together.

I think it is a bad idea, especially in these fragmented times, to endorse political candidates. You will alienate segments of your customer base. RP is free to do as it likes but so are it's audience. I think they are better off staying above the fray. Endorsing someone because they are a veteran is a bad idea. There are lots of veterans with bad ideas.

Since RallyPoint is a private business and not directly affiliated with the government, I have zero issues with them associating with any political stance/business, similarly to Navy Federal advertising on their page. However, like any business, who they choose to sell ad space to can cause a reaction from those targeted and significantly lower unique visitors to the page. I am sure that is all considered when they send emails and the $$ made outranks the concern for displeasure from the target audience.

MCPO Mark Lowe - Rally Point is a business and exists to inform and educate but like all businesses it makes money. Like any business, the owner(s) choose what to sell and to whom. In this case, they apparently chose to sell advertising space to a political candidate. I have no idea who this guy is or what he stands for and up until this post, I didn't even know he was running so I have no dog in the fight. However, the owner(s) made the decision to make some money, if you or I agree with it or not.
I think one could argue that politics and businesses are not different things. There is a reason that we have so many millionaire politicians.

This could be something you signed up for? I did not get it. Others did not. Maybe you are in the Politics or a party focus area, like I am for Marines and Military Intelligence.
