I have been in business over 4 years now. In fact , I have a client on here right now. He contacted me via private message and we went on from there.
I believe there are a number of coaching and mentoring persons on here who, like me, are discreet on how they conduct business on RP and that is the way to do it in my opinion...

You have to be careful because we have had some asking for advise from members when they really should be seeking advise from a doctor or professional expert i.e. Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Weight Loss, Alcohol and Drug Abuse. Some of us have good intentions and want to help but we could be doing more harm than good. Advising a member here to try working out 3 or 4 times a week when they have been inactive for years is dangerous without having a physical checkup first by a Doctor and getting his or her OK to start working out . Or recommending a special diet to a person who is borderline diabetic or has high cholesterol could be a serious mistake. I used to tell wannabe body builders in the Marines to load up on protein without any idea what their LDL, HDL or Triglycerides were or even knew about blood testing. And guys who wanted to lose weight were told to eliminate sugar from their diets without knowing about their Blood Sugar (Hemoglobin)..

I could not agree more that one had to be careful when coaching and mentoring. I would hope that no one would sign up to do such things without the benefit of training in the area. Admittedly there are risks, I believe there is greater risk when people have a fear of reaching out. Itvis a double edge sword that the onice falls on the individual providing support.

CSM Darieus ZaGara - I helped guys in the National Guard who had served three or four tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan with their fitness and diet program. but they had to have a physical checkup once a month and fill out a lengthy questionnaire for their goals and progress but I was still very worried about the advise I gave them. Because years earlier we didn't have those controls and were not that skilled about the risks involved when working out and diet. I used to recommend that Marines take lot of vitamins when they worked out which is also not a good thing.
