Should Service Members be permitted to get elective cosmetic surgeries while on active duty?

I have seen many service members getting surgeries like breast augmentation, tummy tucks, liposuction, rhinoplasty, etc. I also know someone who recently died from having a "low risk" lipo done when her descending aorta was accidently punctured. She bled out on the table.
In an organization where we are focused on mitigating risks, should service members be allowed to risk their lives for these elective cosmetic procedures?
Also something to consider is the amount of down time for recovery, infections, or complications.
Again I want to emphasize I am talking about elective procedures, not because of an injury or disease. What are your thoughts?

I am curious about what the RP Community thinks about Service Members getting Plastic/Cosmetic Surgery (Males & Females)?

Some people have done it for medical purposes, others just for esthetic. Do you know someone? Have you done it? Is this could be a reason for Discharge? How this could affect your physical training? What about in combat zone?
