Should Texas students be required to say Mexican Pledge of Allegiance?

You just can't make this stuff up. After watching the story, what is your reaction? Again like the former Marine who gets banned from his daughter's High School, we seem to be seeing a very aggressive attitude against American Exceptionalism and this is supported by President Obama.
What are your feelings about this and what would be your response?

Learning the Spanish language does not require the recitation of the Mexican pledge or National Anthem. You can learn the Mexican culture by having a lesson on their means of patriotism but to require a student to recite as part of the grade is too much. We studied the cultures and Spanish language without these, we learned seasonal songs, followed their way of celebration of certain holidays during our Spanish class. We even went to Mexico, during our spring break to experience life and history of Mexico. There are more appropriate ways to teach our children the language and ways of another culture.

Not just No but Hell No we are not citizens of Mexico and all Mexican Flags should be banned from all official locations and flag poles except for at the Mexican Embassy. The wearing of Mexican flags on clothing or display of any other national flags except for the United States flag and the Texas State flag should be banned from all schools and any student or teacher that displays any banned flag should be expelled for the rest of the year and be ineligible for promotion or graduation this includes all colleges and Universities.

Nobody should be forced to pledge allegiance against their will, especially if that allegiance is to a foreign nation for any reason.

No actually the teacher needs to pay some price or apologize to the girl in front of the class and recite our Pledge. lol

It is time that appropriate reaction to this stuff is elicited. Make a lesson out of the teacher that respect lost can be permanent without due diligence into what might come back to harm them. Recitation of a Pledge to Mexico is not censorship but common sense. I am of the mind that open-minded has it's limit and here it has reached that plateau.

I'm in agreement with the both of you SSgt (Join to see), and MSG Brad Sand. We are a free country, but the expression and use of the freedom should not absolve you of the consequences of that decision. The student shouldn't be forced to recite a pledge of allegiance of another country, they should be offered an alternative assignment, and the teacher should receive a reprimand for this type of assignment.

If it was Mexico, I would say it might be a problem. IF it is a question of following the direction of the instructor...I might be willing to listen. I MIGHT be willing to listen.

SFC Jerry Crouch, The court stated that the school district can do what they did for the circumstance. However it still is a suppression of their right of free expression. There are many examples throughout history especially in the civil rights era of the courts saying that certain suppression of expression was legal. Sometimes what is legal to the courts is still an injustice. You can also look at court rulings before the Civil War that disallowed rights to African Americans. These were injustices but were legal in the opinion of the courts.

SFC Jerry Crouch I do not give a tinker's damn about many of these judges opinions these days. They are part of the problem and their political demise should be high on the agenda. That way the country will again reflect the spirit of positive change not some agenda.

not just no but hell no and the mexican flag should be banned from all schools and anyone bringing one to school or wearing one needs to be sent home and their families should be investigated by the INS if found to be illegal they need to be deported period.

I'm Hispanic and born and raised Texan, I say hell to the no we live in America land of the red,white and blue. Our kids should not have to do anything in school but learn about American history.
