Should they have forced the COL to retire with a demotion? Should the MSGT have lost her AGR job? Given the current state of ridiculousness where men can be women just by announcing that they feel like a woman (without undergoing any form of transformation) then why can not this MSGT identify as a T-Rex?

That is maybe why you are a CPL? Seriously- no joking, She was giving her OATH- that is suppose to mean SOMETHING, it is your WORD or in the old days- YOUR BOND. It is SERIOUS, or it means nothing. In the service you are swearing to give your all, to include your LIFE to uphold the Constitution- is that a damn joking matter? Is her life a damn joking matter? Swearing the same oath that millions of service people served under, and 100K's DIED under a damn joke??? IT WAS WRONG TO THE Nth degree- and a damn COL should have known better, a senior NCO should have known better- if that is how they view their oath, the we are a damn sight better with them gone!!! ( Yes son I'm Pissed- and it's my state to boot.)

PO1 Don Gulizia - One- maybe in your time Son was a no-no- I treated my troops like they were my kids- when I retired many came to see "Dad's" retreat. Your vote is your prerogative , I did not insult him- that's your call. And yes, my son is older, and my grandson is serving now. Also we had maybe 6 CPL's in my BN or BDE and a few of these were SVN Vet's who couldn't hang on to SGT.

SGM Bill Frazer - "That is maybe why you are a CPL?" That's what you said. That's not an insult? Okay. Also, using "son" in that manner was condescending in your day and it's condescending today.

I find it interesting that the attack came to me. I swore in 3 times so far. Reserves are slot based. Given my education and my desire to commission the folks up top didn't see a reason to have me taking up slots for others that only wanted to be enlisted. Secondly, I've had to sit through all the eo and sharp crap too many times and sensitivity training towards dudes that want to wear skirts and surgically shave their Adams apples. Frankly if they make mental disorders like that a spotlight showcase in our ranks, then it's not a stretch for this woman to say she identifies as a dinosaur and the colonel to fight the forced outing. My question was riddled with sarcasm because I find it ridiculous however I find the crap we have to look past as ridiculous. And it's also kind of crazy that LTCs Cops and a couple generals see beyond my rank and ask me to analyze strategy before they ask others that are only interested in career brown nosing and blue falconing. If you look at someone and only see rank as a function of their utility then I guaranty that you've exposed a major malfunction in your line of thinking. And for the record, it's the E4s that make everything happen in the army. Every NCO knows that. I motivate my soldiers up and down with mutual respect and utilization of their strengths and knowledge. Albert Einstein said everyone is a genius at something. You can carry your position about me all you like. It doesn't get you closer to the reality though. The second general order is something I believe important but is being gutted by all the eo, sharp, and inclusivity training. The culture of taking away a person's livelihood because someone else felt offended is ridiculous. To treat these folks as an example while letting porky pig that can't do their job and can't pass pt stay for 3 years is an upside down priority list.

Stuff like this is why I got out. Too often now, people take things way too seriously. If that's how she wanted to reenlist, then why is it an issue? It is pretty clear it was intended to be in good fun and not mocking it.

Considering that I've read about people getting a lesser punishment for actually committing a crime, no, they shouldn't have been punished so severely. The TAG shouldn't have come out and stated exactly what the punishments were for who either. All this situation has done is make the military community look stupid. And not because of some woman reenlisting with a puppet on her hand. Because of the over the top outrage from SMs and veterans. All the people crying about it looked like bigger snowflakes than Hillary voters on election night.
