I read in Military Times that the Army is considering going back to the "Pink and Greens" of WWII.
I was commissioned in 1979. The Dress Greens with a long sleeve Khaki looking shirt. Before I went to Germany the Green shirt had replaces the Khaki Shirt. Now we have soldiers wearing Berets
I fully understand the lineage and history of the Dress Blues. But I have to admit that the first time I saw that uniform worn in public I though I was looking at a Bus Driver. At a distance of about 50 yards I saw a Soldier wearing the Dress Blues Slacks with a white Long Sleeve Shirt and Shoulder Boards. When ingot closer saw that he was a LTC.

Yes, we need to change the uniform. The ASU needs to be a dress blue uniform again.

I would agree Sir!
In my day there is no way that I would have mistaken an LTC without a Uniform Jacket for a Bus Driver.
I went to MCB Quantico for the Modern Day Marine Exposition several years ago. The Front Gate MPs were in the Green MARPAT Uniform. Their uniform blended in well with the green foliage behind them. Several Soldiers were present there as well. The ACU stuxknout like a sore thumb against a similar background.

Have "big" Army issue the new uniforms to active duty and the reserves! If they are ready to make this change then TRY to ensure it is across the board. Also let AC Soldiers keep their clothing allowance the year of issue. They will need it to finish buying the rest of their duty uniforms, pts clothes and accessory for their new uniforms. This might (I'm an optimist) stop the Army from changing the uniform so often. I was in for 29 yrs and wore the same three uniform versions for 26 of those years...this should be normal.

If I wanted to dress like a Marine, I would have joined the Marines.
