Should the Height and Weight standards matter if they pass the physical fitness test??

My personal opinion is that we spend way too much time worrying about PT and H&W. A person obviously needs to be in good enough shape to do their job but is a high PT score really that important for people in clerical or administrative jobs? Do cooks and supply people need to be in the same shape as infantry people? Is how sharp someone looks in their uniform really more important than how well that they can do their job? Do H&W standards that would disqualify many professional athletes really make any sense?

There is definitely something there that is a bit off although it points towards an appearance thing, but it needs to be looked over so it can be relevant to this century.
