Should there be a separate RallyPoint for Angry Veterans and Service Members? Would this help keep RallyPoint a Healthy Place to grow?

I was thinking about this after reading some hateful and spiteful things in what could have been decent debates and threads. Would it truly help?

I guess the definition of a liberal is anyone who doesn't drink every drop of the conservative Kool-Aid.

MSgt (Join to see) There will always be troublemakers, disgruntled veterans, and angry SM's. You can give them a place to vent/blow off steam, but I do not honestly believe it would help. Always remember that misery loves company.

I say no because anger escalates and can and would get out of hand... Not a good idea at all. There are other outlets for that... MSgt (Join to see)

MSgt (Join to see) Thought of that idea at first but as SSgt (Join to see) suggests it would probably devolve into a real mud bath with no way to keep it any better than fb. Now I just delete all political based tirades or unprofessional comments which give me butthurt and move on.

I doubt it. I believe that it would migrate over to the non harmful side. But then who am I?

I feel everyone has their own opinions and that each other's opinion should be respected. When you have so many people have from so many different places and backgrounds there is no way to agree on everything. When someone tries to understand why a person has that opinion and they try to understand your's then a mutual understanding.

I know, we could let technology work for us. Members can select an option sensor/non-sensor, then the computer can block their view of "obscene" remarks and the such.
That way they can Self-Sensor, and the rest of us "adults" can speak our minds without fear of offending some poor innocent soul's feelings.

...then there would have to be an alternate site for most social media sites. there's always going to be someone wanting to spout negative/angry rhetoric online and off. let 'em be madd while the rest of us enjoy healthy adult topics of conversation.

If you wouldn't have enough spine to say it someone's face then don't type it. That's how I live my social media life. A little trash talking here and there is fair game but it gets out of hand quicky more often than not. That's why I keep to my above philosophy. It's kind of like the golden rule, except for adults.

You and I would work well together. I don't like dancing around on anything. Either be yourself or leave it alone.
