I was thinking about this after reading some hateful and spiteful things in what could have been decent debates and threads. Would it truly help?

No--although this a place for opinions which could cause heated responses, we must remember that we are professionals. Remember--whatever is said cant be taken back. Stay professional!!!

Help who? You can't stop people from being angry. You can, however, stop getting hurt by it.

SSG Vik Polivka - It all depends on the VA you go to - they are not all alike or the same. That's where the discontent and disillusionment forms and escalates. If the U.S. was really wanting to pay back and treat our veterans right; they would bring the VA in under the U.S. Military control and operation. Military veterans would find it easier to open up to service experienced doctors and be given the proper care they deserve and should be entitled to instead of the red tape and pill pushing civilians in a lot of the VA's.

I'm in San Antonio, and go to Audie L. Murphy VA Hospital. I don't remember the regional off the top of my head, but their staff is pretty awesome, especially the TBI/BROS clinic. In a one-to-one comparison, not counting when I actually had a Dive, or Aviation MD, the VA has provided better care for me since I've been out, than just the motrin, and drink water from when I was in.

I pay for heath care through my company and I still go to the VA. They are my people. They understand me and they treat me well. While I am sure the stories are true for some places. They are not true at the OIF/OEF Clinic in Cincinnati.
