We hear about how all these Vets are triple dipping, but I don't think people are educated on how hard it actually is to do this, and how very small of a percentage of people can qualify to do this.
You have to meet all of these requirements: Serve over 20 years, receive a 50% or more VA Rating, be deemed unemployable or 100% disabled by the VA, AND qualify for SSI benefits.

All You Guys Who Have Been Over the Pond and some Vacc.s have Our Guts Eaten up with Parasites. I WAS!! eat up with Something killing Me that pierced my colon about 13 yrs later from OIF1. It Almost killed Me! I was throwing Nitrate fertilizer with My bare Hand and I was 4 days w/o Zoloft on Accident. They Love NITRATES!! Kin to "radiation poisoning". I Also caught a toenail fungus and Finally By GOD and Some Research I found a method to kill Parasites because I had cleaned My Stomach so much I could LITERALLY Feel the "Encysted" ones lashing around!!

If legit, you should git.
Unless you have served you have no idea what you're talking about. Civilians grip and complain about how hard their life is, they do not know what we go thru to make their life easier. I fave up part of my life for this. I should be able to get what I deserve.

I have a question. I do not meet the 20 yrs due to MEB@17 yrs, but I do meet the other two. Is there a way to get me retired pay before age 60?

You cant collect ssi disability and va disability at the same time its illegal hope they don't get in trouble because its a federal offence. But you can collect retirements from working but are only allowed to make so much. As for drinking beer and using codeine at same time its not recommended so stop both and just take the pain. I do. And they cant fix the hip joint or the nerve damage that I get.

Maybe an oversimplified way to look at is...Retirement pay is for your time, disability is for your body.

I don't mind telling you that I am a "Quadruple Dipper": Marine Corps Retired, Civil Service Retired, Social Security and 70% VA Disability. Before my first wife died, we had six paychecks.

If youve spent 20 years in you fully deserve to get the pension. Its kinda a miserable way to go if you are in constant pain.

I feel that a VA rating should be to compensate a vet for WHATEVER disability he has that was determined to be service related, and that compensation should be given ON TOP of everything else (i.e. drill pay, retirement pay, etc.).
