Should veterans and retirees be "Triple Dipping?"

We hear about how all these Vets are triple dipping, but I don't think people are educated on how hard it actually is to do this, and how very small of a percentage of people can qualify to do this.
You have to meet all of these requirements: Serve over 20 years, receive a 50% or more VA Rating, be deemed unemployable or 100% disabled by the VA, AND qualify for SSI benefits.

I have everything except the SSDI. I could get it with my qualifications. I'm medically retired by the Army and T&P 100% by the VA. Triple dipping isn't a issue with me if it's justified. If you are a veteran it's not even an issue with me about triple dipping.

Wow.... Triple dipper. Didn't know they had a name for it. I know a triple dipper... You don't want to trade places with him. For all you vets trying to work with the VA and your ratings, please check the Veterans Benefit Network (VBN). These vets know their way around and in the VA. Some have even worked in the VA as rating personnel. They know more of the VA than anyone I have ever met!!! Great bunch of vets!!!

Most Veterans gave their 100% in everything. They now deserve 100% support if qualified , and Medically not all injuries received are treatable through the VA System. If you can no longer be in public making a living due to their injuries, how are they going to survive?

I seriously hope I meet the requirements. I did over 25 years, 75 months of deployments, 6 surgeries on the left shoulder and arm, 3 neck and 4 hip and lower back procedures, knee operation, one on the left foot, and two on the right foot, not counting the nerve damage, aches and pains, bumps and bruises. Who cares if it's more than what I earned. I've paid out over $3K in dental bills, and about $500 in medical Co payments. I need an aid. Triple dipping. There is no price you can set on pain and suffering

If you can do it with welfare, state assistance and get SSI because you are to lazy to get a job then veterans that rate the money by meeting the standards should be left alone.

The term "triple dipping" is misleading and offensive to those who have given 20 or more years of their lives and sustained combat-related injuries. Receiving benefits can either be legal or fraudulent. There is no middle ground. This term implies an older/elderly veteran with combat-related injuries should feel ashamed about receiving contract-bound entitlements and recompense for work-related injuries that have caused negative and life-altering handicaps. If you're really concerned someone is fraudulently collecting benefits they are not entitled to, report it.
