Should we bring back the Pledge of Allegiance? I remember as I went through Grade School we use to say this every morning and it gave me a sense of pride and purpose each day! Are the youth of today missing this and will they every understand what it truly means?

Your thoughts and comments are welcome?

THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Our Pledge of Allegiance as we know it is fast becoming a thing of the past. Kids used to say the Pledge of Allegiance along with a prayer before starting the day’s activities.

Below you will see the very touching recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance as told by Red Skelton. They Pledge as we should still teach our children.

Also listed is the “Global Earth Day Pledge” that our children are learning today. Again this is Global. Everything will go global in the “End Times”. This is just another way to ease everyone into it. Be Prepared. It is coming.

On January 14, 1969, Red Skelton touched the hearts of millions of Americans with his "Pledge Of Allegiance", in which he explained the meaning of each and every word. Red Skelton's recitation of the "Pledge of Allegiance" was twice read into the Congressional Record of the United States and received numerous awards.

RED SKELTON: "I remember this one teacher. To me, he was the greatest teacher, a real sage of my time. He had such wisdom. We were all reciting the Pledge Of Allegiance and he walked over. Mr. Lasswell was his name... He said": "I've been listening to you boys and girls recite the Pledge Of Allegiance all semester and it seems as though it is becoming monotonous to you. If I may, may I recite it and try to explain to you the meaning of each word:

I

Me; an individual; a committee of one.

Pledge

Dedicate all of my worldly goods to give without self-pity.

Allegiance

My love and my devotion.

To the Flag

Our standard; Old Glory ; a symbol of Freedom; wherever she waves there is respect, because your loyalty has given her a dignity that shouts, Freedom is everybody's job.

of the United

That means that we have all come together.

States

Individual communities that have united into forty-eight great states. Forty-eight individual communities with pride and dignity and purpose. All divided with imaginary boundaries, yet united to a common purpose, and that is love for country.

And to the Republic

Republic -- a state in which sovereign power is invested in representatives chosen by the people to govern. And government is the people; and it's from the people to the leaders, not from the leaders to the people.

For which it stands

One Nation

One Nation -- meaning, so blessed by God.

Indivisible

Incapable of being divided.

With Liberty

Which is Freedom; the right of power to live one's own life, without threats, fear, or some sort of retaliation.

And Justice

The principle, or quality, of dealing fairly with others.

For All

For All -- which means, boys and girls, it's as much your country as it is mine. And now, boys and girls, let me hear you recite the Pledge of Allegiance:

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic, for which it stands; one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

It's still Very Pertinent in everything or group I'm involved in. I made sure my children and grandchildren know it's meaning, along with our Flag. It'll always be important to me!!! Doc Bradshaw

Saying a prayer and the pledge of allegiance never killed any of my classmates or myself. We had Jews doing the daily devotions and we had Christians conducting the prayer. We learned about each other's religion. Bring back the pledge of allegiance and prayer in school. Not having it is part of the reason that our country is in the shape that it's in.

When I was in school the flag didn't teach me anything it was just something that was a part of my normal routine. When you make someone do something everyday eventually that person will get tired of it and the flag will become meaningless to that individual. If people want to say the flag then let them say it. If they don't then they shouldn't have to, it's their right also students shouldn't be punished for not saying it.

CW2 Kenneth Fort - You, sir, are dean on target. This country is being torn apart by political correctness. God and Country both have mostly been removed from public schools in our country. I cheered when President Trump told the Boy Scouts in WV that this Christmas we would be saying MERRY CHRISTMAS instead of happy holidays. If we put God and Country back into the public schools this nation would be much better off that it currently is. Obama spent eight years trying as hard as he could to destroy the USA, and thankfully Hillary did not succeed him or there would be no USA left after she finished the job BHO started.

Sgt Charles Malcom - You can't put God in schools if he doesn't exist. Also you want God in your school go to a private school keep God out of public schools. Country is just fine though.

I find it extremely sad that you even find it necessary to ask this question. Of course I love this country and what it stands for. And the flag represents this country.

Bring back The Pledge of Allegiance in all U.S. Schools. If you are not permitted to do so, then you are in the wrong Country.
