With the AC cutting personnel should there be a bonus to those who decide to go from AC to RC, building the strength in the RC?

I voted 'other'.
If quality Soldiers are choosing to serve in the Reserve Component in an area where they are needed, I feel that it is better to reward already trained Soldiers with bonuses instead of giving the bonus to someone coming in fresh that we would have to spend extra money to train.

Depends on why they are going to RC. If they are being force out from AC, then I do not believe they should be incentivized for not meeting standards during AC service. If they are seeking to have advancement opportunities and their skill sets warrant a bonus, then yes.

I agree with the other posts, and I also think that if the AC wants to downsize, and qualified Soldiers elect to change their Title, then by all means, give them some incentive to stay the course. Having been NG and now AD, I see the need for the RC even clearer than before. If we can get quality Soldiers to fill the ranks, and not just fill in the MTOE/TDA with privates, I am all for bonuses.
