Should we remove combat patches to be sensitive to those who don't have them?

"(Unit Name withheld) BCT ordered to remove combat patches during training at Fort NoMatter so the ones without them don't get hurt feelings.
Reason? "The unit just returned from Afghanistan and almost everyone has a patch but the large influx of new soldiers are E1 and E2s that have never deployed and they are saying they are left out because they don't have a patch."

OMFG! Boys and Girls... It’s called a right of passage or been there and done that! Should we have folks pull their ribbons until you’ve earned one too - WTFO??? Get these kids up to speed quickly, please!

Combat patch is something earned. They need to grow up. Maybe one day they will get deployed and see what that patch means to someone. Mine means a lot to me.

What a bright idea, next let's get rid of unit patches because someone unit patch might be cooler than another's and we don't wanna hurt anyone's feelings. And let's get rid of ranger tabs, SF tabs and airborne tabs so the ones that never earned one aren't left out, also let's get rid of any qualification badges as that might hurt someone's feelings that don't have one and let's get rid of medals too and just give participation trophies to everyone, "you went above and beyond the call of duty ? Sorry no MOH as we don't want hurt feelings so here's your participation trophy" ,"you were wounded? Well we can't give you a purple heart because the non purple heart recipients might feel left out, here's your participation trophy. " also on weapons quals you just get a participation certificate as we dont wanna call someone an expert because it will make the marksman shooters feel terrible. We will all just wear uniforms that have nothing on them because us army or navy or marines or airforce might feel bad about you wearing your service name on your uniform and we'll do away with name tapes in case someone has a better name and we don't want that person to feel bad and finally rank has to go as someone outranking another could cause anxiety to the lower ranks not promoted yet, we will just have leaders and followers but then again the followers might feel bad about leaders so we'll all just be wearing plain jumpsuits with nothing on them and everyone will be equal and this will make these ridiculously stupid ass libtard morons of today happy and no one will feel left out. Now does everyone see how ridiculously stupid of an idea that this is?

Hell no they shouldn't be removed. Those of us that have deployed to combat zones earned them. The newbies need to suck it up and move on.

Combat patches are earned hence the word combat patch if this offends anyone they are deranged they should strive to get one if not get out and become a politician the military is for the ones that give up so much for everyone and a little recognition is not a bad thing

WTF! You feel left out because some Soldiers are wearing something they earned and something you haven’t tough shit! If you want it go earn it; until then learn what you can from those combat veterans; and when it’s time you will get yours!
