Should we remove combat patches to be sensitive to those who don't have them?

"(Unit Name withheld) BCT ordered to remove combat patches during training at Fort NoMatter so the ones without them don't get hurt feelings.
Reason? "The unit just returned from Afghanistan and almost everyone has a patch but the large influx of new soldiers are E1 and E2s that have never deployed and they are saying they are left out because they don't have a patch."

Those that have been deployed earned them so they should be allowed to wear them if juniors feel left out that is too bad

Millinieals need to get over the PC habits from civilian life for that in real life not everyone gets the same trophies, patches, awards, medals, etc. Combat patches are earned, but I guess that is where the rub is things must be earned not just free on the table handouts

Should we remove our rank patches and jump wings? Our combat Action Badge?

There’s no reason to remove them if you haven’t deployed you don’t get one. If you have you should be allowed to wear it. If your feelings are hurt by this you don’t belon in the military

This actually happened to me once at NTC. 3 years ago the BC made every one remove there patches in order to make us all equal.
