Should we remove combat patches to be sensitive to those who don't have them?

"(Unit Name withheld) BCT ordered to remove combat patches during training at Fort NoMatter so the ones without them don't get hurt feelings.
Reason? "The unit just returned from Afghanistan and almost everyone has a patch but the large influx of new soldiers are E1 and E2s that have never deployed and they are saying they are left out because they don't have a patch."

Maybe you shouldn’t wear your skill badges then in fear you don’t offend everyone who does not have them.... I swear these can’t be real questions!

Next the young enlisted will want a Participation Patch, like back in high school.

Sounds like another "snowflake" weather report. Everyone gets the same. Seriously!

No!!. This would be political correctness carried to the limit. There are other branches that do not wear the patch - transfer there. Almost as bad as issuing crewmembers wings when one finishes mechanic school.

No soldier deserves a patch unearned or any other award. The little pukes can go cry to mother for all I care. Keep the patches and wear them proudly to inspire the whiners into something better.

Maybe that commander, notice the little “c” should remove his rank since every one is not an officer,. I have an idea for a patch for those with their butt hurt because the don’t have one. Do can make it 12 inches in diameter...
