Since I haven't enlisted yet, should I shave my beard of for a meeting with members of the National Guard unit I intend to join?

I am looking to join the National Guard as a 09S (Officer Candidate). I was invited by a colleague who recently did the same thing to meet some people in his command. I currnetly have a short beard that is neatly groomed. Should I shave my beard off for the meet and greet?

I should also mention that I'm meeting the State Officer Strength Manager and maybe the state OCS commander. I suppose the answer is rather obvious to me now.

Bobby Maddox - you realize that you will have to shave it when you go to OCS. as long as it is neat and short, i wouldn't worry too much about it. focus on wowing the boys from the state with your knowledge and enthusiasm

SrA John Monette - Any recommendations on how to wow them? I think my enthusiasm will be apparent, but what about knowledge?

Bobby Maddox - i think i might have misspoke about wowing them with knowledge. that might be a negative, make you look like a know it all. instead, ask questions. that will show them that you are truly interested and want to learn.

I mean, you probably don't have to but I would make an effort to make it look neat and everything. That and wear a collared shirt with slacks. That's what I wear when I meet with my recruiter and what I wore to MEPS.
