I know The SM has twice the lenght of the profile but not to exceed 90 days as a recovery phase. But The SM knowing there was an APFT never mentions that the SM is in the recovery phase to anyone. SM failed the APFT and all the sudden the SM starts saying I'm in my recovery phase and That the SM shouldn't be flagged and barred becasue of it. My thoughts on the topic is that, if the SM didn't care enough prior to the APFT to mention it or do a follow up appt. with the provider to see if the profile needs to be continue. Then the SM is just trying to dodge the bullet.

So the Soldier failed to mention that he was still on recovery, did the first line leader, squad leader, or platoon sergeant fail to mention it too? I mean they SHOULD be tracking whats going on with THEIR Soldier, correct?

I completely understand your feelings with regards to the SM not mentioning the fact that they were on recovery until it was convenient. However, the only thing that really matters when it is all said and done is that they were on recovery.
