I currently have a Ziplock bag full of about 40 US Flag Velcro patches that I have pulled from my ACUs when they get old, frayed, or discolored. I am definitely not going to throw them out, and am not really in a position to burn them (in post housing). Curious what other Soldiers are (really)doing with these?

I generally have saved a color and an IR for each country I have gone through, save a couple to give my kids from each as well, and give the others when I write thank you cards to people or groups that have supported me or my Soldiers. Haven't had many extras doing that.

For me they are in a box with all my other patches. I have put them on other things like bags, and notebook covers. Other than that I just leave them in the box. I will never through away a flag, and in post housing like you Sir. So I cannot burn them. For right now they are just tucked away nice and safe until the day I can properly dispose of them.
