I would agree that it probably is a T-54. It would be easier to tell which one it is if you could see the gun.

The round shape in the right side, rear makes me think T62.
The T-62 was in Afghanistan for the Soviet-Afghan War of 1979-1988. And stayed thereafter.
My first Iraq deployment, every trip to taja, we had to pass a T-55 that was being used by the ANA as a static guard position protective place and gun mount. Every trip it was all I could to keep from giving the fire command.. "Gunner, tank, front, acquire and identify"...lol Once an AT guy, always an AT guy.
