I'm a power generation equipment repairer (91D) and I love my job. I'm interested in stepping up and trying out for a Special Operations position. Being an SF Operator has always been a dream of mine but I recently came across an article about 160th. This attracted my attention because I love the Ordnance Corps, especially electrical troubleshooting and circuitry and would love to work on Army Helicopters. Any advice or experience out there in the RP world? I've also thought about group but I'm not sure how to get attached to get orders to SF Group. I feel that both can set me up to do well as a civilian once I retire.

If you plan to stay a 91D, I would recommend connecting with other 91Ds in USASOC. Ask them both how they got their job, and also how they like it. That should help you decide on what you should strive for. If you like to fly then join the 160th if you like to ride Join the SF. Now with the jokes aside I have had friends in both organization both are very professional either one you choose will be well worth the personal investment in yourself. Good luck with your choice

MSG Frank, I get that same answer every time I ask this question. That is the reason why I'm contemplating these two. I know that both will not only make me a better soldier but a better individual as well.
