Star Wars. The struggle for freedom from a tyrannical empire....sounds a bit like us. My favorite character from the Star Wars franchise isn't a Jedi, it's. GEN. Wedge Antilles. Rebel, fighter pilot, leader, and all around bad ass.

I hate this poll for one reason: I wanted to vote for Star Trek and Star Wars because both franchises got me interested in science as a child and had a major impact on my life. I ended up voting for James Bond because though I love science and everything involved with it, there's something about spies, even though it's highly fictionalized, Ian Fleming was one of my heroes growing up and I loved reading the books/watching the films.
